The Captain and his Wife

With inspiration from NickTheGhostHost999's latest Haunted Mansion Show Video, the original Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland was originally going to be centered around a sea captain and his wife who would both own the house, instead of the Gracey family.  The sea captain, Bartholomew Gore was secretly the infamous Captain Blood the pirate.  When his wife, Priscilla found out, her husband brutally murdered her, and then hid her body in a water well outside.  She then came back to haunt him, which made Gore hang himself in the attic, much like our Ghost Host in the attraction.  It was scrapped because, well there's just no room for two pirate themed rides in New Orleans Square.
