Description

Did you know that Beetlejuice was originally going to be a horror film?  That's right.  And guess who would be the killer.  In the original script, BJ was going to be a brutal shape shifting demon who would kill the Deetzes, instead of scaring them away.  And try to seduce Lydia with his Danny Death persona and rape her, instead of trying to marry her.  So that's basically how I imagined Beetlejuice would look from reading the script.

That idea was dropped with Tim Burton replaced McDowell with Warren Skkaren, due to creative differences. And they turned it into a fantasy-comedy film, thanks to Tim.
